Music effects our entire being. It effects our minds, bodies, souls, the way we dress, the way we talk, and the way we even interact with other people. For example playing some kind of instrument in creases verbal IQ and increase your visual abilities. Music is an essential part of our culture and probably always will be.Popular music is effecting schoolwork, social interactions, mood and particularly behaviour. Studies have shown that there is a connection between music and emotions regardless of your age.
Kids now-a-days are downloading music for free and are able to use headphones so parents and other people do not hear the music they listen to. Over the years of my teenage life, Music has been overwhelmed with sex, drugs, and violence. Scientists have found that the use of sex and substance abuse in music videos produce significant changes in the behaviour of an adolescent.
Music, for Teens, helps us in the process of creating an identity. Music also provides a way for teens to find a group identity. But the effects of music are different foreach gender. For women music is normally a way to express emotions and when they are feeling "down". For Men music is used as a stimulant, a way to "boost" there energy level or to create a more positive image for themselves.

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran plays the genre of music called acoustic. He has very soothing and clam love songs like Kiss Me but also some really up beat ones like You Need Me I don't Need You. When I say "up beat" i don't mean like dance music or like dub step, he does something different. He uses his guitar, a loop pedal, and he loops himself beat boxing most of the time. On his slower songs it is mostly acoustic guitar with a loop pedal, but he sometimes also adds piano in some of them. He is extremely talented. Not many people in the world can do what he can do on a guitar and sing at the some time. When he uses his loop pedal he keeps adding layers upon layers of little licks and different chords and he even beats his guitar like a drum so that he has some kind percussion.
All of Ed Sheerans songs are not exactly family friendly. Don't get me wrong he is amazing and has some clean music, but a lot of his music is about sex, getting high, and getting drinking. And some of his songs have some swearing. I would recommend his music for 13+ because it could be an influence on younger generations.

Hands Like Houses
Hands Like Houses are an excellent band. The type of music they play are Alternative Rock/ Post-Hardcore/ Electronic. They are not a very well known band but are very talented and have very unique songs. If you like Rock and stuff like Sleeping With Sirens then you will love listening to Hands Like Houses. One of my favourite songs by Hands Like houses is FountainHead. This song, I like because it has an amazing guitar riff after the introduction. It is about a person over coming obstacles and working hard and achieving something that people think you couldn't reach. Hands Like Houses have merchandise on the internet and it is very cheap but is very good quality. For Example I got a package of two t-shirts and and long sleeve shirt for $35. Overall this band is super talented and worth looking up and listening to. And if you play guitar their songs are terrible hard to play but super fun to play. Out of 10 I would rate them a 9. But thats because I really like that kind of music and really like them as a band. And also i really like acoustic stuff and if you go on youtube they have snow sessions which is all done acoustically.
Hands Like Houses has no swearing in their songs that I know of. From My knowledge they are cleaner and are appropriate for like 10+. I say that because it is hard rock and it does talk about some not so good morals and advise that they know were their morals are at and what they believe before you start repeating the words of there songs.
The band Hands Like Houses are very similar to a lot of punk bands. The only difference is they use a lot more electronics and other not normal rock instruments. Also not all there songs are Post-Hardcore rock. One song, called Oceandust, is strictly piano in the chorus and then a light strumming from a acoustic guitar comes in when the chorus starts. This variety of styles is very nice because you don't always have to listen to Post-Hardcore Rock but can listen to so softer more relaxing music.
